Mayer– Salovey–Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) -- Scoring

Standard scores
MSCEIT測驗分數依據測驗的架構由大到小，可分為 total emotional intelligence score*1, area scores*2  (Experiential and Strategic Emotional Intelligence), branch scores*4 ( Perceiving Emotion, Facilitating Thought, Understanding Emotion, and Managing Emotion. Finally),  subtest scores*8。(圖一)
以上分數皆為標準分數（mean=100, SD=15)，對照正常人的常模而得。

Actual item responses
測驗中8個subtest的題數 (items)不一，但每一題的選項計分皆為1~5，此分數稱為actual item responses。

Scored item responses
施測者將每一題的actual item responses輸入分數轉換的程式轉換成scored item responses。
轉換的方法為根據正常人（與建常模同一樣本，共5000人）在該題選擇該選項的百分比計分。例如：45%的正常人在「第一題」選「選項5」，則受測者「第一題」之scored item response為0.45。
excel檔案中A1~H9應為scored item responses。

2. 分數是否有經過年齡或性別等因素校正？
